Budgie Eggs!

I took such a long break but here I am with bad news AGAIN -
Pair #1 - Doing great! 2 healthy AND beautiful babies!
Pair #2 - Doing great too! 3 healthy babies!
Pair #3 - Doing the worst. She killed 2 babies out of pressure I think. I was afraid the one last left will die too. So I gave pair #1 to foster that chick. It's alive!! Separated the parents
Pair #4 - The female's abdomen is a watermelon but still no eggies
Pair #5 - 2 chicks died, so they are with 3 healthy babies.

What an ugly season, shocked by pair #3 really
Oh no! I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. :hugs

All healthy! Not so pretty this time but I don't mind if the blue one turns out to be a female, I desperately need a blue female budgie

Pair #3 -
The mum is doing fine now and so is the dad. She looked very exhausted but replenished herself with some fruits!

Pair #4 -
FINALLY LAID AN EGG!!

Can't wait till all these babies grow up healthy and eat these healthy fruits!! :)

I would be careful if you breed pair two again there plucking. Had a hen pluck the down then every clutch after she plucked them worse

It looks like they have grown their wing feathers and didn't grow their down feathers so you thinking she's maybe plucking them is really smart BUUUT they just haven't grown any yet, I haven't seen them with their down feathers yet, so maybe I'll wait some more days
Down feathers grow before flight feathers on most but for me inos seem to grow less down feathers but those chicks look plucked I read years ago it was a salt deficiency. But I personally think its protien as if its like chickens they pluck due to lack of protien

Protien deficiency? I'll give them some sprouts then, it should help them
