Buff Barred/lemon cuckoo

Ooohhh he's pretty swheat!! Did you use a barred roo over a buff hen to get that coloring? I am doing the same thing with a golden cuckoo roo and buff hens.. but with marans. I have my birds almost breeding age now, just gotta finish my breeding pens.

How many generations does it take before you start seeing barred buffs?

if you use a cuckoo male on any color, it should be barred right from the get go. My thinking is black one as F1's then the buff as f2's, so 2 years to make

It will take several generation to breed out the leaking black color, from buffs anyway.
