buff barred silkie?

I am getting a silkie cuckoo roo and I have a bunch of buff hens, could I get a buff barred/cuckoo silkie from this? Does anyone have one or have you seen one? I was just reading up on buff barred cochins and it sounded like it's from breeding a barred with a buff. I'm pretty ignorant on the whole realm of chicken genetics, so I might be totally off base. I'm going to have to try it though...

It would take a while, but yes. Cuckoo is E/E extended, and Buff is E^Wh/E^Wh with LOADS of other genes, so your first offspring will be either black w/gold leakage or black barred w/gold barred bits, it will take a few generations for you to get your wanted color. The thing to do is constantly breed barred back to buff.
