I was going back and forth on Buffy, but she’s got some tail feathers coming in that I *think* look rooster-y? Though they aren’t super pointy? She’s our only buff Brahma so I have nothing to compare her to.

There’s no rooster ordinance, but there is definitely a nuisance ordinance which has been leveraged in the past when people have had noisy roosters in town.
I’ll play it by ear. I’ve read Brahmas can be slow to crow, so Mr. Buffles can stay until we have to make a decision.
Okay, as long as he gets a new home some time in the future.

I wonder if the green in the tailfeathers are indication of gender?

Yeah, the tail feathers started to look iridescent and have that telltale curve just this week.
And behavior-wise he acts like a roo as far as I understand it, always keeping track of the flock and making sure they know he’s in charge.
I’m going to keep him as long as I can.
