I have A Buff Brahma Roo and have some Golden Laced Brahma Pullets coming my way, I was trying to breed the Laced ones to sell. If I have the Buff Brahma will this get rid of all the lacing? how do you even get lacing in brahmas anyway! Thank you all I hope some can help!

Buff Brahma roos genetics are eb/eb, Co/Co, s+/s+(your basic buff columbian type), Golden Laced Brahman pullets genetics are eb/eb, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml, Co/Co and s+/-

If you cross them together the F1 will be eb/eb, Pg/pg+, Ml/ml+, Co/Co and s+/s+(for males and s+/- for females), they will be incomplete lacing and be more like half laced spangled.

So not until you do a F1xF1 or better yet F1x Golden Laced that you will get true lacing

Buff Laced indicates that Dominant White is present on the bird, in this case the F1s will be golden incomplete laced.

I just saw this thread and I have the opposite a gold laced rooster and blue buff hens, what am I likely to get? I’m trying to wrap my head around chicken genetics !
