Here is my brahma. He/she is around 10 weeks.. The feathers have been soooo slooooow coming in but I fear my pullet is not a pullet at all. Love this bird! :(

I'd vote pullet also, the boys usually look a lot more gangly.

I hope so. I love this bird. His/her feathers have really started filling in over the last few days. When I posted these pictures in a different thread a long time ago, people were sure it was a he.

Huh, from that baby picture I would have voted boy also. But usually by 10 weeks I would expect more head development, and the boys to me usually look at lot more leggy, the girls look more finished. You aren't seeing any suspicious feathers on its back I hope?

Well, by suspicious, do you mean a more orangey golden color? If so, then yes... You can kind of see it in the first picture. Here is a kind of blurry view of its back. This bird has always seemed leggy to me which was where my suspicions were raised in the first place. Like I said, its feathers just started filling in this past few days. It was pretty scrappy looking for a while. My dorking, which you can see in one of the baby pics was brought home at the same time and she clearly has such fuller plumage , which I know they are a different breed, but she has had fuller plumage for a long time.

I don't know, it still looks girly to me. I would really be expecting more comb/wattle development or at least red color in a male at 10 weeks, and still more of the stork look, it could just be a slow developing fast feathering male. I am more familiar with light brahmas, and I can't get that good a look with those pictures, but those feathers just look like regular buff feathers coming through, I am not seeing the pointy saddle / neck feathers or that darker more red color the males get.... yet ... well, good luck and hope it is a girl ...
