Hi Chicken Community!

First time hatching and raising chickens from scratch. It's been fun!!!

Our chicks are all 9 weeks already

So far we have 2 brahma pullets and 2 brahma roosters.

we need help identifying if one is roo or pullet?

It is a easter brahma hybrid (as pictured).

Thank you for your help identifying this bird!

Hi! Love the mix!

I'm leaning toward cockerel. He's a little too red for only 9 weeks old. EEs / Mixes like to hide their male feathering shapes so I'm going based on comb alone.

Thank you. I was leaning toward cockrel as well but I have not heard him crow yet, while my other roos already do so. Much appreciate your help! As planned, he will be integrated into our mini bachelor flock 🥰

Some cockerels are late bloomers. My only boy still hasn't attempted to crow at 6 months old.

That is good to know, otherwise I'd be worrying if he is in fact a late bloomer😄 thanks for the knowledge!
