Buff Cochin and black Australorp breeding

I got a buff Cochin as a grab bag chicken and found out it was a rooster. I was wondering if the buff Cochin and my black Australorp could breed. Thank you!

Chickens are chickens - their chromosome count is the same regardless of breed; therefore, the can/will breed and produce fertile offspring.
