Buff Cochin Bantam Critique...Please

The roo kind of looks like my BO/standard buff cochin roo. I wouldn't cull either but rather keep for a PQ bird. You hens are looking nice.

Doug Bishop has some of the best bantam buff cochins in the country here's his link
http://bishopsbuffs.cochinsrule.com/ He's been showing this variety for years and has done very well with his buffs. He is also a Master Breeder of this variety. I'd give him a try:)

You could also keep your birds and out cross into better birds to improve type. It would be a project but worth the wait when you acheive it:)

Thank you!! I hope so, just waiting to see if my young ones will be finished and my old ones will hang on to their feathers:)

a cochin should look like a round little ball from every angle, front, back and sides. Don't believe it when people say the rooster is supposed to have a high tail like that. I have a mixed color rooster with as smooth a cushion as any show bird, and he is part from tate's breeding and part from pet quality mottled hens.
