Buff Ducks

I had 4 Buff ducks 2 males 2 females . Lost a male and a female to a fox . My one remaining female was laying eggs and then suddenly stop completely. Not sure why . I recently acquired 4 anacona ducks from babies and they are gettimg older but not laying yet . The 1 1/2 year old female buff still isnt laying. They free range except at night and seems to be doing well eating and etc. They have a big house and still no eggs from her . What can I do ?

Just be patient! It could be due to shock that she stopped laying. Plus on top of that the days are getting shorter. Did your ducks lay through winter in the past?
I assume they get enough calcium? ... Oyster shells or so.
Where did you got Ancona ducks from? Have not found them at any hatchery for sale.

Its been months since she layed . Got my anaconas froma hatchery where I live in Louisiana. I thought it was shock but not so sure anymore . The fox incident was months ago and she laid some after that and then stop completely . Then I got the others and didn’t introduce them till about 2 months ago and knew she might stop because of that but hoped she would restart. I have calcium but maybe need to increase it .

Ducks are seasonal layers so she will begin to lay eggs again next season. She won't need added calcium unless she is laying eggs.

How is she acting does she have a good appetite? Interact with your other ducks? What do you feed?
