Actually Im glad to hear that the hardware cloth is wider than 3 feet. I was thinking Id have to put my posts at 3 foot intervals. If the H. cloth is wider than that, then can set the posts wider, also. Again, thats for taking the time to post your pictures; Ill be referring to them over and over.

Regarding making the bottom of the frame for the wire enclosure, note that the vertical beams are:
1. Buried at least a foot into the soil, and
2. Screwed into the the horizontal beams laying on ground level.

They are VERY sturdy that way.
