Also, it just depends on the strain of birds. Some people like the light buff, others like the darker buff. When we had buff laced polish, the cock and the hens body was the same shade, the cocks hackle and saddle were alittle darker and more shiney.
 
Thanks. Mine are 8 weeks old, and out of 5 of them, one is getting much darker than the others, esp the wings. He is the one that I had banded a male because of his behavior. He acts like he has a harem. Karen
