No reason to assume anyone is withholding on purpose. Buff Brahma's are still relatively rare I think. I wouldn't assume that anyone has a specific Buff Brahma/Buff Orp cross in their flock or that they have pictures of them if they do.
It could be that the people who use this forum that keep Brahma's either don't also keep Buff Orps or don't cross breed their chickens. Perhaps the Buff Brahma/Light Brahma breeders that hang out here are all breeding in a closed flock to only other Buff/Light Brahma's to improve the breed type? Barnyard mixes are pretty common, but people don't tend to document them with pictures like they would a purebred breeding flock.
I think you should get some chickens and get to breeding and post some pictures.
