Buff or Buffy Orpington?

So we're 4-3 pullet to rooster. Not quite the landslide of certainty I was hoping for

. I'm still not sure.

If she is a he, what am I looking for in the future to make sure? Other than crowing, which isn't happening yet.

Thank you all for your input, although split down the middle

. It looks like the Buffs may have it by a hen's tooth, if you forgive the chicken literary device.

If it is a he, we will definately keep him. We have many acres and 9 other confirmed hens, so he should be fine. Plus, he can herd the cats

. And our chickens free range during the day, so I am not really worried about him molesting the hens to the point of baldness.

Thanks again!

That is a young cockerel. Definitely not 26 weeks old. I would guess around 14-16 weeks based on the start of the saddle and comb development. Not sure if it's pure or not..seems to have an awful lot of white in it.
