We just lost our beautiful black Australorp
My poor buff orpington is only one day without a sister and isn't eating and looks really sad. She keeps searching around. We know we need to get another chicken. My question is, do we get another Australorp? I've heard that chickens recognize colors of other chickens and are more likely to accept them into the flock (though it would be a flock of two)
We have an option of the Autralorp, Barred Rocks and Golden Comets in the area. Also should we go with an 8month old chicken or the 4month old chicken? I just want to make sure they get along ok and want everyone happy
Thanks in advance!
