Ah, that's what I'm figuring. He actually belongs to my friend - I'm raising both of our chicks while they need the brooder plate for heat. We're not allowed roosters where we live.

Nooo poor baby! I hope he goes to a good home I hate having to put a chicken down when they are not aggressive. They are pets to me, but I get that the roos are a bit of a menace.
