Hi, my sweet little buff Orpington chicks are six weeks old now. One is a lot bigger than the other and I am hoping it is a rooster. Can someone help me based on these pics. I tried to get them side by side but they are being flighty. The one in question is in the bottom and alone in the last three pics. Thanks!!

Rather young, yet, to be sure of sex on a large breed. Wait a couple weeks to be sure, but I would guess them to be a pair.
If one is a cockerel, you will notice the cockerel's comb being quite a bit bigger. As time goes on you'll see other male characteristics.

Darn, I was hoping for one rooster out of the six chicks. But the hatchery they are from says 92% chance of females, so probably pullets. Thanks for the replies!

here is an updated pic. Puller or cockerel??

Yes same bird, almost 9 weeks and it’s way bigger than the other buff I have. I haven’t heard it try to crow yet but it makes different sounds and squeals when I try to pick her up.
