Buff orpington and Green queen- hen or roo please

Hi, hope you're enjoying BYC! :frow

I love seeing varied opinions! Now I'ma give mine.. which is both are pullets, I see NO pointy saddles on the buff. I do agree it's a lot of red, but different lines may mature quicker than others.

Starting around 12 weeks but well by 16 weeks is when gender specific saddle feathers are coming on non hen feathered breeds. Example from google..

Sometimes pattern can make rounded feathers LOOK pointy. Putting your hand or a sheet of paper behind may help discern true shape.

Had you already noticed the cross beak on your GQ/EE? It often gets worse with age, so consider looking into it if you haven't already.

I think it was an oat or something

Except for the fact orps are a slow maturing breed....
She is a ton redder than her sisters, smaller body frame, while the others are larger on body, smaller combs, nowhere near as red. I have compared to other buffs on here within her age range and their combs look significantly larger than "hers". No crows or attempts known
