Here are just 3 weeks old Buff Orpingtons and just trying to guess at gender. These are chicks that I hatched out of Austin's (lowcountrypoultry) eggs.

She (I hope) is so cute with all the little bit larger BO's.

My guess is 1,4,5 and 6 are pullets and 2 and 3 cockerels. In another few weeks the combs will be bigger and the cockerels if any will start to get waddles. Good luck!

See I was thinking 4, 5 & 6 pullets and 2 & 3 cockerels. #1 is the one I'm not sure on yet.

It's so fun to watch them grow and see their personalities come out.

Number 6 had a terrible leg problem when born. So bad I almost culled it. I decided to try and help it along, and got it back a little but still was sticking straight out to the side. Then one day she must have had a growth spurt and her leg was under her and she is almost 100% normal now.

4-5 roos and 1-2 pullets--def more roos than pullets..Sorry :-( I have Bo's at 7-8 weeks and it's very obvious from the 2 babies I have 1 is roo just like yours!

I just happened on your post and am so excited..I have 17 rescued baby chicks...I knew 10 of them are Rhode Island Reds..but was not sure what the other 7 were...I saw your pictures and they look just like your chicks...so happy to know what breed they are..yours are 6 weeks? I am unsure of the age of mine or if they are males or females...

Jenni, if yours is a bo, it is a roo with those leggs. But, I suspect it is a red broiler, more meat type body and stance.
