So, I've decided to re-home my cockerel before my neighbors do it for me. He is a Buff Orpington that is about 12 weeks old and has just started crowing. He has been handled since he was a baby and I can still hold him. He is very good with my girls. He doesn't seem to be an early riser; he let me know he was awake around 8:30 this morning and only crowed twice more after I let him out.

I actually lost him and another chicken about a week apart and I'm not sure what was wrong with them, so the rest of my flock is currently being medicated. I'm still devastated.
