Buff Orpington crossed with a crested cream legbar

So am I right thinking that the buff x clb pullets have the crest on there head like the pure clb pullets ? And the cockeral does not??
I think it would not be gender specific I think its just some will and some won't... I may be wrong. almost all my CCLB crosses have crests, coming in now at 4 weeks.

I've attached some pics below.
I have two buff x C legbars and they're laying a pale green/blue egg almost C legbar colour every single day. I'm inundated with eggs right now.. I never expected them to lay everyday as my legbars and buffs lay every other day...?

One of my hens is pictured on the third pic down at the middle right hand side for those interested

I would call this green, not blue

Hi all,

This is my what my cream legbar cockeral crossed with a buff orpington hen looks like.

Around 4 weeks old now
Male or female?
I have some that are 4 weeks 2 days. CCLB rooster, over my "non-gorgeous buff orpington /CLB/ EE cross" from the pics of her in previous pages when she was a pullet (she is 2.5 now!!) LOL. The chick has inherited her rose comb, as expected. Not sure of gender, but I've labelled him a boy since he was not chipmunk striped like most of my CLB crosses. Notice the tiny little crest!!
Hoping I'm wrong and he's a she....

Certainly has lost any buff orpington look...

I've got a pullet from a legbar roo with orpington hen. I'm so excited to see her egg in a couple months! From what I'm reading it should be a mint coloured egg. I will post a photo when she starts laying!

Reading this thread today because I'm making this cross & have eggs incubating. Really interesting to see what the chicks look like! My roo is half buff half lavender orpington.
