I have a silly question. I have 5 buff orpingtons. 4 out of the 5 have red ears One of my gals has white ears. Should I be concerned. They are all the same age.

The only silly question is the one that is not asked that should have been asked.) How old are your BOs? Perhaps the one is maturing slower than the other four, but if they are all the same age and old enough for the earlobes to be developed, then I would definitely be concerned as Orpingtons have red earlobes. Perhaps you can post a pic of the buff pullet with the white earlobes and we can take a look at her for you.

Thanks for the reply. She does seem to be maturing a lots less then my other girls. Her comb and wattles are still pinkish. They will all be 20 weeks on the 15Th. She is usually by herself, and is defiantly last or on the bottom of the pecking order. I almost think she is deaf. I can call the other girls and they will coming running however she is always on her own doing her own thing. I will try and post a pic later. These girls are hard to snap.

You're welcome. I'll look forward to seeing your pic.
