Buff orpington genders Pics are here!

The guy dont really care. He wants them for egg laying. If they are buff rocks do they lay well through the winter?

No, I think a cochin has feathered feet. Did you hatch these? I would say they might just be buff orpingtons from a hatchery. Probably at some point some other breed was crossed in.

Cochins have feathered feet so not likely cochin.

My buff orps have very pale white legs and feet...AND I vote ROO for the one in the pic.

I got them from an ebay seller. Maybe they are orps crossed with something. I emailed the seller to let her know. I dont care really. They are super sweet and I love them. I am trying to be careful so I dont hug them to hard.

Here is some additional infor, with lots of pics.

I would say whoever sold them to you probably believes that they have buff orpingtons. They just wouldn't meet the APA standard of perfection. As long as you are happy with them that is all that matters.

He looks like my Buff Rocks--I have 2 girls that lay purplish/brown eggs, about 1 egg each every 2-3 days. They have been laying all winter-so far anyway.

The white orpington has orange feet? or is it lighting.

there description says this as well

"Member of The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy helping to conserve rare breeds.

Orpingtons are currently listed on the ALBC priority list as Recovering."
