I like this post. A lot.Mmm they are gorgeous and I love those turkeys even more
I mean, buff American Orps have reached the highest level of perfection after being bred for over 150 years and for being the most popular. Buff Orpingtons are also the breed where the buff coloring was the most perfected. Buff Cochins were first but never received the same attention.

(Yes, that is a blue there)
But I’ll agree the other colors are nice. I will always like the buffs best because it’s a classic and the most perfect, but I must say a blue, a black, a white, a jubilee or a laced one are all fantastic… or a partridge, or a mottled, or a crele.
The American and British Standards both produce beautiful results, but I think the American reflects the utility qualities that Cook originally bred it for, while British breeders bred towards the extreme of fluffiness.
People fly chickens all the time. I'm sure there's a BYC party plane that could get them from point A to point B.Please don't make me drive....
Do you think they'd be okay on a plane?
Can I call you Baguette? It's better than T Banks right?![]()
We should vote! Because I can assure you lemon would get more!
Need I remind you of the last thread that had a poll feature with this crowd? Even though the vote was clearly not in favor of the individual's wishes, they continued to say...Are you sure?
I think you should poll the group just to be certain.
This surprises no one. You clearly never watched Animal Planet in the late 90s when it would switch over to Shop NBC or whatever.I didn’t even know there was another kind besides bread![]()
Well, broilers are pretty much the only thing in the broiler category. lol So you like all chickens then.oh, I didn't know they were dual purpose! but what I meant when I said that orpingtons are egg birds was that they aren't like broiler chickens.
I vote yes for chook to be the queen!
Amazing.
Buff is still kind of an icky color in birds that are not SQ. But those are handsome.Mmm they are gorgeous and I love those turkeys even more

Maybe I'll come visit family then and get a pitstip near you. I'd rather pay for flying birds than drive them across the countryPeople fly chickens all the time. I'm sure there's a BYC party plane that could get them from point A to point B.
