Woah is that a camel?!Pippin, have you seen my buff yet?
The first thing I saw were those muscular stub legsPippin, have you seen my buff yet?
I like the dark gold ones somewhat but the pale ones are ugly to me. But even then, I just don’t really like solid color birds anymore. I had a lot of orange, white, black, birds and I prefer patterns now. Had a lot of those too. Especially when the offspring started producing weird but awesome colors.I agree on them being prettier- but BOs still aren’t ugly. I still don’t know why people think they are.. I mean, if I think of the color ‘buff’ as gold or yellow, they look pretty to me.
Even then, it’s not all in the looks, it’s more in the personality.
yupWoah is that a camel?!
Cool is it yours?
Those aren’t always the greatest idea. If the power ever goes out, the birds won’t be acclimated to the cold and will die. Birds can handle cold much easier than heat. But the key is proper ventilation so it doesn’t get humid in there. That’s when frostbite sets in. The coop likely doesn’t have enough ventilation. The cold isn’t the issue. As long as it’s dry and not humid or drafty.I have a coop heater plate that you put sideways in the coop for warmth and I live in FL. I use it when its 40°F or colder
