The combs aren't *supposed* to freeze off. You need to keep your birds warmer in winter
No way am I heating multiple pens for 6 months a year
I have a coop heater plate that you put sideways in the coop for warmth and I live in FL. I use it when its 40°F or colder
Yeah, come talk about frost bite when you live somewhere with -20F days and -30F nights during part of winter.
I am 110% sure any "buff" on here is a orp
But not everywhere it's posted.
‘if a Twinkie was a chicken’!! 😊
No wonder I dislike them.

Also I‘ve never heard of Dong Tao chickens before, so I looked them up and I think I need to bleach my eyes. Why in the world would anyone want one of those nasty mutated cellulitis monstrosities!? :sick
Chicken legs are a delicacy in their origin country. So.... bigger legs, better prices

Also, would you mind listing some of the prettier, better-than-Buff layers? I’m looking into getting some more chickies, and I’m all ears for good breeds!
I absolutely love my bantam Cornish. But they are bantams. But they fit every love of a b.o. other than body fluff (different feathering type).
I am convinced that all buff orp haters are just sad that they will never have a butt as perfectly fluffy as a buff orpington 🙄🙄
They actually need a fluffy butt for that to possibly be true.

I love the last one! 🤣
Oooo they have the eggs on there?
No, just birds. Good pet quality birds though.
If I had to choose a solir buff bird to keep it would not be orpingtons. It would be bantam cochins. Or possibly Ameraucanas.
Same. Probably the Ameraucana. They're nice looking usually. I just don't like popular breeds. One reason I'll never have australorps or white leghorns either.
