As many people on this that have Buffs I think there is enough room to have a Buff Orp thread or two.

This is Sunny, my younger son's favorite chicken. She just plain old hatchery stock, but she is a great chicken with a wonderful temper and has been laying well, even in the cold. We love her!

A picture of her when she was younger, she actually does love to snuggle, it wasn't kid torture for her.

Cackle Hatchery has some fair quality if you are just starting out.

Ours are from Richard Andree of MN with a couple of pullets from the Cackle Hatchery chicks. We culled REAL heavy! We currently have a listing for hatching eggs, but not on BYC. Andy Anderson in IL also has some quality in both Buff Orpington Bantams and various Wyandotte Bantams. Has a listing for hatching eggs in the Poultry Press. So far Nicole is undefeated in Buff Orps. She has been beaten by some nice Black Orp Bantams, but not by a Buff. Not bad for a 5 1/2 year old! She really cares for her birds. the male is named King.

These are from one of the oldeset strains of Buff Orpington Bantams. We were blessed to get this strain back. had been years since I had any of this strain. Both Richard and Andy have great birds.
