My 4 month old cockeral just started crowing today. He's got to go - we aren't allowed to have roosters where we live. He's friendly to people - my 10 year old twins carry him around all the time - but he's starting to get a little aggressive with the pullets. We are giving him away for free. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at butchering him, but my kids are having a hard time with that thought and I don't want to do it behind their back. He'd make a great alarm clock or a yummy stew!
