Please take a look at our 3 month old BO-- we bought her from a hatchery and it is doubtful she is really a Buff Orp. Looks like a strange hybrid to me.
Regardless, she is beginning to squawk! Could she really be a roo?
Thanks for your help!

I know she/he doesn't look much like a BO, I'm guessing that 'it' is a hybrid perhaps between a BO and an Ameraucana. Total guess, this is my first time having chickens!

Wow, a sex link rooster? How can you tell?
I'm also curious as to how a hatchery can mess up breed and sex!!? Bummer.

Please excuse my ignorance about all things chicken, I am just starting to figure these things out, and am always looking for an opportunity to learn...
In the o.p's. pic the bird has different colored legs than the pics of the sex link rooster, does that change anything? The one in the pic looks like he has yellowy tinted legs and the bird in question looks like a greeny color to me?

You're right, he is not a red sex link. His comb is quite different, he looks like an Easter Egger to me. The red colour on his wings is indicative of a rooster in this breed.
