Buff Orpington Roo??

My new guys I got in March are tall and thin too--they just came from the feed store. I am really hoping the develope on out. They look nothng like that really pretty 4 month old~~mental note~~avoid feed store stock-avoid the cute chickies at all cost! I love that barred buff!!

Does anybody breed buff cuckoo Orps? My daughter so wants to start this as a project...

I breed buff cuckoo Orps, hence the photo of one of last year's cockerels.

It's a relatively quick project.

I guess I've gotten so use to him I don't consider what the better bred birds look like. Believe it or not I'd gotten mine from a *old time* poultry store. They'll order them for you & then you don't have to buy as many if you had bought them from a big hatchery because the poultry story just keeps them etc. He's a wonderful roo though & actually very good with chicks.
