Buff Orpington Rooster with Red markings on legs

I have a BO rooster, about 8 months old who has dark red "stripes" running up his legs..and a bit of dark red showing between his toes. Is this normal? The scales are not raised at all. We routinely add DE to their areas. Since it is JUST the rooster and none of the hens, in a large flock, I am thinking its ok, but need some reassurance.

Normal! Barred Rocks also have that. Mature roosters often do, especially BRs and RIRs. My BR roos do, both of them.
