anyone seen this cross of chicken ?do they lay ok ?

Some are half black half gold (buff) the half and half ones as my son calls them.

They should lay good. I have never seen this particular mix but my chickens have always intermingled and the mixed breeds laid as well as the pure breeds.

Buff Orpington hens are fair layers. They lay about 200 eggs for a few years before their production begins to decline. Black stars (often referred to as sex links) are prolific layers and can lay about 300-350 for a few years before their production begins to decline so the cross should definitely be a good egg layer!
