Buff Orpington- rooster?

Belle is definitely a rooster. He started crowing about 5 days ago. Now he and the australorp roo crow back and forth all day. Sadly, they back today and we trade them for 2 girls. I think the roos are sooo pretty!

hi am new to this forum! i am having the same troubles, i have 6 buff orpingtons that are about 8 months old. i have one that is a lot bigger and am not sure if he/she is a rooster or not. i hope he is. i have two mature buff hens that started to lay in the fall and the chickens comb is actually a little bigger than theirs. some people i know said it isnt and others said it looks like it is. im not able to post a pic so can some people please email me at [email protected] and i will send some pictures out. i really need to know if it is or not, if he is not then i will have to buy a roo for the spring because i want to breed. thanks for you help. oh and they havent started laying yet...
