My chickens are buff orpingtons and one plymouth rock. They are all about 16 weeks old. One of the chickens has bigger legs and the rooster features. How can I be sure he or she is a rooster or not? This one chicken is much larger than the others. Could someone give me advice on this one?

Post a pic and we can tell you.

By "rooster features" do you mean hackle or saddle feathers, or crowing, or mounting hens? Those are sure fire rooster indicators. Spur bumps or larger combs, not so much. Depends on how much larger the combs are, at this age your hens are reaching sexual maturity and start developing larger combs and wattles.

I just put an ad on craiglist and this guy said he would take him. He says he has a small flock looking for a cockeral....hoping he is telling the truth and not going to eat the rooster!
