buff orpington roosters

Hi, I bought 5 Buff orpingtons they are supposed to be hens. How old do they have to get before you can really tell what sex they are by looking at them? Mine are 4-1/2 weeks old. Thanks

I am new to this still and I dont have the same breed as you but I have 5 that are between 10-12 weeks of age and still am not 100% on the sex of a few..

On buff orps you should be able to tell about 5-6 weeks. Post pics of them and I'm sure folks will guess for you.

I find the Orps a little harder to tell than some of the others, such as the Delaware and Sussex. But if you post pictures, some can do a lot better than me. This link may help.
