I found a pullet egg in the grow out yard this morning.

How old are they?

Hi!
I found this thread a couple of days ago while lurking around different threads:)
I have 5 BO. They are about 4 months old. From the post above, do I still have a month to go before I see the first egg?
Thanks

I know the frustration. I have a full buff orp and a buff orp/easter egger mix. Both are 14 weeks. Everyone else (except a stubborn silkie who's 28 weeks) is laying. I fear I'll be waiting forever on these girls.

I have read so many great things about Buff Orphingons! I have 4 red pulley hens and 1 Speckled Sussex rooster, I would love to find 2 Buff Orphington ladies to join our flock. I can't seem to find anywhere to order just a few, without insane shipping costs. I live in Hardinsburg, Ky. Anyone know where I can find some nearby that I could just pick up? That would be awesome!

I have 2 50% English Buff Orps. They are about 18 weeks. I have had them for about 3 weeks. They are very flighty and won't let me get close to them despite much hand feeding. Is this age or do I have flighty birds? I had a previous BO who was like a dog to me.

I got the two little BO pulleys back in April to put under my hen that had a failed hatch. She raised them and they were so pretty. A couple of days ago, the got eaten by a coon or a possum. It was a horrible massacre. I was so mad and upset. I got home tonight and walked in the porch and there was 15 new baby BO. My hubby ordered them for me because he felt so bad about my others. Long way to go before I get eggs from these little ladies.
