Ok, so I read a buff rock will always have yellow legs. I also seen buff orpingtons have white, but is there ever a chance they could have yellow. It didn't say always white, just that they are white haha.
No, a Plymouth Rock is not the only single combed chicken with yellow legs, so not necessarily a Rock, but that would be the most likely culprit. She may be a Buff Rock, not an Orp at all. Orps have white skin and hence, white legs. If they have yellow skin that shows in yellow/yellowish legs, then they have something else in the genetics somewhere. It could be Leghorn for all I know.I cant remember how many right off the top of my head, but at least 1 of my Buff hens has yellowish legs. So, that means that she has some sort of Plymouth Rock somewhere in her lineage?
