*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Sounds like you will be busy for a long time!!:)
Good luck with all of it -- of course pictures are a must!

Lol of course!! I have some Golden laced, Bresse, a couple of my B.Os and a Crele orp that are going to hatch on the 1/2 of this week!! I'm so excited! I just can't wait to see their little fluffy bums running around! :yiipchick :ya

When do bo's start to lay? Mine are 22 weeks old and they haven't layed yet. Also, when do they reach full size?

One of mine started at 27 weeks, the other was around 30 weeks.
There is no set time on when they begin, it's patience and a waiting game

Quote: Yeah I have about the same situation that you seem to have going on there, full grown rocks w/teenage bo. They seem slow to mature. For some reason it seemed that my barred rocks grew bigger faster.

Is it possible that because my older rocks may be intimidating my BOs, it could be prolonging their first eggs? Maybe I should make a separate nesting for the BOs.

Finally got decent pictures of each of our babies.  They're about 2 1/2 weeks old now, and just the funniest little things.  One is already pretty red in the comb and has some red wattles coming in (the one with the red ziptie).
