This happened this morning :D She was sitting on 3 eggs, only one hatched so far?? Not sure about the other 2. Anyway, meet my newest little one <3

Thanks all! Well only the one chick this morning and the hen was off the nest :( So I assumed the eggs weren't viable, brought them inside and used a flashlight to check them out and she was right, nothing. So I tossed them. Bummer but it is what it is ;) Thankful for this little one anyway!

I think I've posted pics of Elvis before, but I'm thinking I need to get some of him closer up. His comb looks like a slick back since frostbite took the tips his 1st year, earning the title of Elvis. I don't know if these do him justice. He is the biggest breasted chicken I've ever seen. One friend we gave a rooster to said that his is the biggest chicken he's ever seen. He has quite a flock, so I have a bit of pride knowing that our ol' boy produced such stock!

He's a handsome fella! Love the wild tail feather.
He is quite large isn't he? But I bet those Rock Girls keep him in line
