Does anybody know if Buff orpingtons and Australorps make a good mixed flock? I'm planning on keeping 3 Orpingtons and 3 Australorps together

I would think Orpingtons and Australorps would get along fine.
They are both large fowl, so make sure you have plenty of roosting space in your coop and a large run. If they can free range - all the better

Just picked this handsome fella and a couple of hens up today. The cross bar on that tractor is 24" and when he watches me he looks OVER it. He's one big dude!
He's a little hard on the ladies so he is living alone for now. I'll let him out to free range on his own once he settles in, in a few days.

Those BO boys do get quite large, I know mine is.

Hello, everyone! I am just learning my way around BYC. So much great information on here! I have 2 Buffs that are 2 years old. They are such great girls! We just picked up 2 Lavenders and 1 Black Orpington 7 week olds. (Hopefully, pullets) My buffs were our first and will always be my special ladies!

Here are Sadie and Peaches. (Looking like they are judging me for my fashion choices., or something)
