3 11-week old Buffs on Thursady and I just can't wait!

Here's Shiela. She arrived a week ago. Hasn't laid any eggs yet but hopefully soon. She had a friend arriving tomorrow to keep her company.

I see feathered feet? Perhaps she is a Buff Cochin?

Not telling you what to do, if you haven't done so, consider a quarantine period to make sure the newest one doesn't have any signs of illness.

Well I was told they were Buff Orpingtons but yes the Cochin is strong in this one lol but I don't mind it as it looks like she's wearing fluffy boots. New one arriving tomorrow has bare feet but is a few weeks younger.

Yep. New one passes quarantine tomorrow. Can't wait.

My Buffs are spending more and more time in the nesting boxes! It is driving the others ca-razy, but hoping it means maybe they are starting to go broody.

That's a cute description! I love the Cochin's fluffy bussle they look like fancy ladies.

Great pics! Could be they are starting to go broody. I have one that "plays" broody, but has never officially been. She puffs, clucks, has a fit if you look at her in the nesting box, will tuck eggs under her if you give them to her (I admit it, I take the porcelain eggs out of the other nesting boxes and give them to her just so I can watch her greedily tuck them under her

- I find it endearing), but......she only stays this way for a couple hours tops. Next day same thing, oh well, maybe one day she will become official.
