5 BO eggs in lockdown that should be pipping any minute now! :fl

And I just shipped 10 BO eggs to Washington and all arrived safe and sound! :yesss

Males do not grow tail feathers at that age.
That is how I tell them apart at that age.
In fact this is a photo of the seven chicks that I got last July and the sex that each one of them turned out to be. Be sure to notice the tail feathers (or lack of) and wing feather lengths. This photo was taken at 2.5 weeks of age. It shows that the tail feather length is an excellent indicator of sex at that age.

This is so helpful. I will keep this one in a faves to track when we get more buffs next year
