I use DE in their feed, it's all natural.
How long have you raised chickens ? It is natural that chickens poop where they walk, and eat. They pass parasites that way which they pick up from earthworms, which are natural for them to eat. What is not natural, is that we confine them to coops where they are constantly being exposed to more feces, and more parasites. DE is not a wormer. It is ineffective the minute is is wet, as in a chicken's gut. Take a sample of poop to any vet for a fecal check, and you will be horrified.

Just got our flock today, four large buffs from a larger flock. We named them after yellow flowers, or flowers that can be yellow: Dandy, Tulip, Buttercup and Rose. We're such newbies at this, but excited!

He or she?

I've already posted this in the guess the gender forum section but I figured y'all would know more since she is a buff.
I'm getting two more birds tomorrow and if there is a strong probability she might be a roo I might be taking her back :(
I know it takes a while before you can know for sure but she is almost 4 weeks old now.
Does anyone know why these pictures are so big, sorry for the size!

How sure would you say you are? Was worried about that I was actually starting to like her! But I dont want to keep her even longer and get more attached if it is almost positive she is a he :(
Does it matter that he feathered out way faster? She had the longest wings when she was growing. The top picture is not a good photo of the younger buff she finally got her wings and still no tail. Here's a better one
She is only around 2 1/2 weeks old.
