Need some info regarding breathing problems in chickens. Picked up one of my chickens today and she seemed to be having trouble breathing through her nose. She had her mouth open and was breathing a little hard. Don' know whether it could be a problem or she was overly excited. She seems to be doing fine otherwise and none of the others seem to be having this problem. Still need to know how to post pictures to this forum. If I click the picture icon on this reply page it doesn't do anything but have a pop-up that says please wait and there's a bar that shows something loading but it never finishes.

I have two little Orpies at the moment and they're coming up to laying age! They're so docile and easygoing. Really nice little ladies! Here is one of mine searching for food!

If you are running Internet Explorer, you will have problems. I changed to Chrome, and no problems.

Does anyone have any opinions on how buff orpingtons do as a meat bird? Do the males mature early? At what age would they be ripe for harvesting? I am looking for a good heritage breed for a dual purpose bird. Not really interested in the hybrid meat birds. Want something that I can breed with.

One hen (Mabel) consistently lays double yoker eggs with this one being the largest yet. In reality it looks like a duck egg.

i know you can't see the tape measure very well but the egg on the left (large one) is 2 3/4 in. long x 1 7/8 in. wide with 6 1/4 in. cir.
The little one is 1 1/2 in. long x 1 1/8 wide with 3 3/4 in. cir. Quite the extreme.



The next two pictures are Prince Henry and friend and Prince Henry with more friends.



Finally managed to post pictures. It had a lot to do with the dish signal not being consistent. Had it fixed. Thanks for all the input on this subject.
