Anyone care to explain why Bella is so thick?! It's day 20 and she was off her eggs eating, she went back looked into her nest, started to climb in but then stopped and sat on the floor! I tried to move her and she started attacking me again so pushed her back in. If these eggs don't hatch she better stop being an idiot if she wants me to look for some day olds go her and daisy!

For most standard breeds you'll find that 12" square will work and anything more is a bonus :) Unless we're talking about Jersey Giants or something, then you may wanna go 14"-17" square or so.

Oh, heck yeah, that's a great size. Of course, you'll find three of them in it at the same time, LOL.

Thanks so much. Just getting the coop and run built. Love the Buff Orpingtons, they are beautiful. Can't wait to get them. This will be my first time having chickens.
