Hi Cyn! Love the pics of your Buffs. Nugget looks like she doesn't put up with any foolishness. The crotchety old Nugget with her younger, ailing "sister" (they are from related lines), Hope. Nugget was threatening my broody BR hen outside her pen so you can see in the 3rd photo her dropped shoulder. Wish you could hear her growling, LOL. Nugget is going on 7 years old. The bantam Cochin is Xander, who tries his best to keep them in line. Epic fail! She's molting so her color is "patchy".

Um, yeah, but he can't reach both her head and her bottom at the same time, so he just ends up sitting on her like a couch, LOL. Dusty will pummel the crud out of him. Poor Hope is too ill to fight so if he gets on her back, she can't stand up, but he tries.Hi Cyn! Love the pics of your Buffs. Does he try to mate the larger older girls like Nugget?

You have beautiful Buffs BayBay Peepers. When I saw the last pic of your Pearl I had to do a double take because she looks just like my Peanut. Love the name Eggness, so cute.

My girls did not fully fill out until about a year. They got pretty big around 4-5 months, but by the next spring they really filled out.
I think that you have cornered the market in "Eggcellent" names. Sorry.........I couldn't resist. Thanks! I have two more that are going through a rough molt so they asked not to be photographed this time. I have to admit I borrowed the name Eggness from another BYC'er. I lost my Henriegga in June and she was my absolute favorite so I wanted to try to keep her "memory" going.
