*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Found feathers everywhere she's gone...

Oh no! I'm so sorry. If I was you I would still have a good look around as she might be hiding somewhere if she escaped or even if you find a body it will put your mind at rest

Well the trail of feathers ended so I stopped looking.... The dogs would've found her if she was nearby. Well maybe, now I think I'll go look again.... I'm not gonna hold out much hope considering I lost a little buff Orpington earlier this week.... Everyone's been moved to a secure pen with a safer attached coop. If I find her I'll certainly update...

I guess since we haven't heard you found your baby she really is gone. I am so very sorry for your loss hennible.

Sorry I didn't update but yes she's gone... I'm am going to miss her a lot, my bantam hen Tori hatched her out in my spare room in a playpen and I got to watch her grow up... She used to come up on the back deck and beg for treats... Such is free ranging... Sometimes you loss them..

SNACK TIME!!!!!

Patiently waiting....well maybe not patiently. :)

Our sweet girls from left to right, Peanut, Daisy and Penny. I was reading yesterday about tomorrow being a "Hug a Chicken Day" and I thought that is everyday at our house!

These are the newest additions to our flock, well future additions as they will not be joining the other girls for another month or so, Coco and Snickers. I should post some pics of them on the Chocolate Orp thread but there is not much activity over there.

Snickers up front and Coco in the back. They are precious! I am totally in love. Every night they snuggle up against the back of my head as I sit on the couch for "chicken time". We have had them for about 6 weeks and the first 3 weeks were plagued all sorts of sicknesses that they brought with them from the breeder. The vet had given them a 50/50 chance of making it but I am happy to report that they are doing fine now.

Miss Martha was a cutie. I know you will miss her terribly.
