Sorry about all the mess it's getting really hot down here and the fleas are going crazy! No worries we're going to completely clean ot the coops and get rid of them..again!

I have tons of projects I want to work on as soon as all these gals start laying and the boys start steppin! I have about 20 projects!! 1 is to get the lavenders to a bigger(English) size, the other is to correct the mottle color on the spangled orps(that I'm getting soon for myself as a bday present!)

He's coming along nicely! Going to be a "ladies man"

He already is lol. Just under 6 weeks old and he already runs over to check if one of the girls upset peeps. He did extra good today, too. I was moving the chicks back inside and he was the last one, so he was alone for a few seconds....well, he wasn't keen on being separated from the ladies, so he pulled an escape! I heard him make a fuss and hurried over to the door and saw him loose next to the garage. So I knelt down and softly called him and he came right over and hunkered down to be picked up like a good boy. Then he tilted his head to get his wattles rubbed as a reward lol (he loves it...he'll fall asleep to me rubbing his wattles and scratching near his ear).

Don't get me wrong, sometimes he's a butthead when it's time to move him....but he's calm when it counts

My little gal, she's from my buff orp roo and a black naked neck hen

Her momma, she's now with a black Aussie roo so that I can get plain black naked neck chicks and cross them to my lav orps to get lavender naked necks!

I got my Buff Orpingtons 3 weeks ago and there are know 3 weeks. Cant waite for them to grow up and find out how many hens and roos i got.
