Buff Orpington...With dark on the wings??

I looked up chick pictures for both and I believe you're right! She's a New Hampshire!

new hampshire seems about right, but I wonder how these hatcheries makes such a bad call and send you a chick you didnt order

I have no idea. But I have enough pullets and no roos this time, so I'm honestly not bothered by it. Sweet littl bird though! Very bold and friendly...just a bit too rough for the Faverolles and Orpingtons.

Yeah, that one was ordered as an Orpington but seems to be a New Hampshire instead! That chick happens to be one of my favourites but probably won't be a good fit for my flock. Thankfully, my neighbor's 5 year old son just loves that one best of all so they'll be taking her in once she's a bit bigger.

Because it's already pushing around my little Faverolles...who are pushovers.
And it wasn't in my plans to have a New Hampshire. But I've got a home lined up for her so no worries!

I have one that is supposed to be an Orpington but she has black wing feathers too.
