An update on the birdzilla front.

After sitting around in the barn tossing treats out for everyone, I noticed a really disturbing habit the Cornish-Rock hens have when they're mounted.

Before the rooster has completely finished balancing himself, 85% of the time the hen defecates. The rooster then does his thing and both of them go about their business.

Once or twice I can understand. But this happened almost every time. From the looks of the eggs this isn't affecting the fertility at all.

This is just a guess, but since the Cornish X's eat so much, they probably have full guts pretty much all the time. So when they squat and get jumped on, it's sort of like mashing an open, full, toothpaste tube.
